About Us

After much consideration, the 2020 Wisconsin State Cow Chip Festival has been cancelled due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 crisis. We have reviewed all aspects of holding the festival– from the health of our volunteers and community, social distancing concerns, the event being in a public park that could be closed again if numbers spike, being respectful and understanding to our business sponsors during this unprecedented time, and the uncertainty of how this will play out this Fall.

We did not take this decision lightly and are currently in the planning phase of an online Cow Chip Toss Contest with a twist, additional fundraising efforts through our website and Facebook and we are working with the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce to encourage the public to support your non-profit groups. We will continue to keep you updated on these efforts and ask for your support in getting the word out.

We are looking forward to coming back next year at full force.
