About Us

Grand Avenue School is an elementary school in the Sauk Prairie School District serving grades 3-5 with an approximate enrollment of 420 students.

Students in Sauk Prairie’s elementary classrooms engage in a rich curriculum that ranges from the development of skills in building healthy relationships to the mastery of foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. Beyond the core classroom, elementary students study art, music, physical education, and technology.

Our goal is to be a learning community that adapts to students with different learning styles and needs in order to help them reach their highest potential. Our school recognizes the importance of a safe learning environment and is committed to ensuring that for every student that attends Grand Avenue Elementary.

Grand Avenue Elementary was originally the Prairie du Sac High School that opened in 1928. When the current high school was built, the old PDS High School became Grand Avenue Elementary with additions taking place in 1949, 1956, 1963, 1992 and remodeled in 2014.
