Pharmacy Technician

Maplewood of Sauk Prairie is seeking a pharmacy technician. Position is 28-32 hours per week and does qualify for benefits. In search of a self-directed, conscientious, organized, efficient and friendly individual with at least 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.  Long Term Care experience is a plus.  Individual will be responsible for preparing medications for Pharmacist.  Hours are daytime hours and no weekends! 

Responsibilities/Duties: 

*Preparing medications for pharmacist to check in an efficient and organized manner 

*Data entry of prescription information.  Including, but not limited to:  drug selection, allergy selection and insurance information. 

*Contacting insurance companies  

*Ordering drugs and supplies for pharmacy 

*Maintaining a clean and safe workspace 

*Filling bubble pack/blister card medications 

*Answering phone  

*Completing required training 

*Billing 

Requirements: 

*Ability to maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced environment 

*Dependable 

*Team player 

*Excellent customer service skills for our residents, families and Nursing staff 

*Must be 18 years old 

*High School Diploma or GED required 

*Licensed as Pharmacy Technician
