Sauk Prairie Early Learning Center is an exciting new child care center currently under construction in the heart of the Sauk Prairie community, set to open in September 2025. In partnership with the Sauk Prairie School District, Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce, municipalities, and generous donors, this vision has been able to come to life. Sauk Prairie Early Learning Center is a year round program providing early care and education to children ages 6 weeks - 5, with an enrollment capacity of 168. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging early learning environment that effectively supports the diverse needs of children, families, and community. We are committed to delivering high-quality early care and education, creating a foundation for children to build critical skills for school and throughout life.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Lead Teachers to join our collaborative teaching team. The ideal candidate seeks a career in early childhood and fosters a warm, nurturing classroom culture that supports each child’s social-emotional and cognitive development through intentional play and responsive teaching strategies. We are seeking an individual who is willing to learn and grow as a team. We are hiring classroom educators for all age groups along with float educators who are flexible and adaptable to any age and classroom. Interviews starting in June, with a September start date.

District Description:
The district includes Sauk City and Prairie du Sac, two “next door” villages known as Sauk Prairie. They are located on the beautiful Wisconsin River. Thirteen towns and the village of Merrimac are also in the district. The area features rolling hills, meadows, bluffs, forests, lakes, and streams. The district offers small-town, rural living with easy access to the Madison urban area (25 miles) and to the Wisconsin Dells recreation area (28 miles). The district serves 2,800 students and comprises six learning communities with a high school of 850 students, middle school of 600 students and four elementary schools of 1350 students.
