Interactive Poverty Experience

Interactive Poverty Experience

Poverty is a reality for many individuals and families. But unless you’ve experienced poverty, it’s difficult to truly understand. The Interactive Poverty Experience helps bridge that gap from misconception to understanding by exposing you to the realities of poverty.

It is not a fictional game.  Rather, you will take on the identity of a real person living in poverty. Over the course of 90 minutes, you must live a month in poverty trying to maintain your basic needs.

At the conclusion of the role-play, you are invited to discuss your experience and what you've learned. Everyone leaves with a challenge to discover what their next steps will be toward being a part of the poverty solution.
