Humbird is the moniker of Minneapolis based artist Siri Undlin. July's show in Sauk Prairie will be a celebration of the release of her latest album, Right On, which was released via Nettwerk records in April. For loyal fans and new listeners alike, Right On is a mischievously kind offering: a whole heap of songs that are unafraid to bask in the perfectly ordinary and also excruciating possibility that sometimes we’re right, often we’re wrong, but no matter what, music can meet us where we’re at and keep us company along the way.

Minneapolis jazz trio 58 Belvedere is primed to release its sophomore record Vista Cruiser, and as the name suggests: fire up your engine. The horizon is wide as you journey from fragments of the smoky downtown basement jazz clubs of yore to the cosmic reaches of experimental cowboy jazz. While the trio has been playing together consistently for over a decade around the midwest, VC represents a significant departure from a traditionalist approach to making a jazz recording.
