Cow Chip Classic 5k Run/Walk & 10k Run

The 44th annual 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk, sponsored by the Sauk Prairie
Community Club, is being held in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Cow
Chip Throw on Labor Day weekend.

RACE INFORMATION:

The race will be recorded with “Chip Timing.” Transponder chips used for
recording will be attached to the race bib. Please allow extra time for
pickup.
- Race starts 8:00 a.m. next to Marion Park, corner of Grand & Fourth,
(near outdoor pool).
- No animals on race course or in the park.
- All proceeds from the race are donated back into the community through the
Sauk Prairie Community Club.

AGE DIVISIONS - 5 & 10K:
- 0-14, 5-year age brackets thru 70, 70 & over for both male and female.
- Plaques awarded to winners, and medals to 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

SERVICES & FACILITIES:
- Refreshments and snacks served after
the race.

Online registration closes after Noon CDT on Thursday, 8/29/24.

Items are available for pickup At Marion Park (On the corner of Grand & Fourth Street near the pool in Prairie du Sac, WI).

Friday, August 30th, 2024 from 5 – 7 PM OR Saturday, August 31st from 6:30 – 7:45 AM.

RACE STARTS at 8:00 AM.

5K Run/Walk Route

5K starts near Marion Park with a start LINE in the middle of Fourth St. just north of the Registration tent and the the outdoor city pool.

The race will go up Fourth Street to Prairie Street (PF), across the Hwy. 60 bridge, left on Golf Road to a turnaround point at the golf course and back to the finish line along the same route back to Marion Park.

10K Run Route

The 10K starts at the same point, up Fourth Street to Prairie Street (PF), across the bridge on Hwy. 60, up the hill to Hwy. 188, left on 188 to Golf Road, left on Golf Road and back to Hwy. 60 and Marion Park, along the same route back to the finish line.
